What we handle for SMEs

  • Monthly payroll and itemised payslips
  • CPF by age and citizenship, updated for the 2026 and 2027 changes
  • Bonuses with the Additional Wage ceiling tracked
  • Year-end IR8A under the Auto-Inclusion Scheme

The payroll jobs small firms struggle with

In most SMEs, payroll sits with the owner, the office manager or the outside accountant. It works until someone is on leave, a rule changes, or a bonus month comes round.

  • CPF rates that change with age and year

CPF rates depend on each employee’s age band and citizenship, and they changed on 1 January 2026, with another change on 1 January 2027 for employees above 55 to 65. A staff member’s birthday can move them into a new band. We apply the right rate to every employee, every month.

  • Bonuses and the Additional Wage ceiling

CPF on a bonus is capped by the Additional Wage ceiling, which depends on how much of the employee’s Ordinary Wages for the year were already subject to CPF. Get it wrong and you either overpay CPF or face a correction later. We track it for every employee all year.

  • Joiners, leavers and part-month pay

New staff who start mid-month, resignations with leave to pay out, and unpaid leave all need part-month calculations. We work them out under the Employment Act and show the workings on the payslip.

  • Payslips and key employment terms

Employees covered by the Employment Act must get itemised payslips, and new hires must get key employment terms in writing. We produce both, so the records are there if MOM ever asks. See MOM on itemised payslips.

  • Year-end IR8A

IR8A and its appendices are submitted to IRAS under the Auto-Inclusion Scheme. Bonuses, benefits and leavers all have to be reported correctly. We prepare and file it through the Corppass access you grant us.

  • Overtime for junior staff

Office staff on lower salaries may be covered by the overtime rules in Part IV of the Employment Act. Check any employee with our overtime pay calculator.

Worked example: CPF for an older employee and a year-end bonus

How we protect you

Your money stays with you

Access through Corppass

You authorise us for CPF and IRAS services on Corppass and can remove that access at any time. We never ask for your passwords.

Personal data protected

Employee data is handled under the PDPA, with a data processing agreement for every client and a named Data Protection Officer.

Switching from your accountant or spreadsheet

You can move to us at any point in the year. Most SMEs choose the Essentials plan; see payroll pricing for what affects your quote.

  • What we need

Employee details and pay terms, last month’s payroll, year-to-date pay and CPF figures, and Corppass access for CPF and IRAS.

  • What we check first

CPF age bands, Additional Wage tracking and leave balances. Anything that looks wrong in past months is raised with you before the first run.

Questions employers ask us

Something else on your mind? Call 6970 5539 and ask.

We only have 12 staff. Is outsourcing worth it?

For many small firms, yes. Payroll needs the same CPF rates, payslip rules and IR8A filing whether you have 12 staff or 120, and getting them wrong costs more than the fee. Your quote shows the monthly cost up front.

Which CPF rates do you use?

The rates in force for each employee’s age band. From 1 January 2026, total CPF is 37% for employees aged 55 and below on wages above S$750, with lower rates for older employees. See CPF Board contribution rates.

How is CPF worked out on a year-end bonus?

A bonus is an Additional Wage. CPF on it is capped by the Additional Wage ceiling, which is S$102,000 minus the employee’s Ordinary Wages subject to CPF for the year. We track this for every employee.

What changes for older staff in 2027?

From 1 January 2027, total CPF rises to 35.5% for employees above 55 to 60 and to 26% for those above 60 to 65. We update your payroll before the first run affected.

Can you draft key employment terms for new hires?

Yes. We draft key employment terms for each new hire, so pay, hours and leave are recorded from day one.

Do our staff get online payslips?

Payslips can be emailed as password-protected PDFs, viewed online, or printed.
